Suzanne shares her experiences of nurturing culturally responsive educators and learning communities at the K-8 level through the framework of resiliency, The 5 Dimensions of Multicultural Education based on the work of James A. Banks, and Professor Rudine Sims Bishop’s (The Ohio State University) imperative that our classroom practices and instructional materials serve as “Mirrors, Windows, and Sliding Glass Doors” for our students and their families.
