Thru the Cultural Lens

Learn about Sealaska Heritage’s education program “Thru the Cultural Lens,” a seminar series for teachers and administrators in the Juneau School District. Funded by ANEP, the program will be expanding to five Southeast Alaska school districts in 2020-2022. In this session, four JSD elementary teachers—Molly Hillis, Tristan Berkey, Marnita Coenraad, and Lorrie Heagy—will present the culturally responsive units and lesson plans they created as a result of their participation in the project, and the format they worked with to include the Alaska Cultural Standards.
