Unpacking Equity in Juneau Schools – a CPAR (Critical Participatory Action Research) Project


This is an informative session to unpack how Juneau teachers perceive supports and barriers to equity, based on data from a spring 2021 survey and focus groups through a CPAR (Critical Participatory Action Research) project. Participants will have meaningful conversations while coding and interpreting the survey data in order to better understand teachers’ perceptions and recommendations (hint: they vary widely!!). This session will include interactive breakout groups and constant inquiry while sifting through rich data, hopefully leaving people with valuable takeaways to apply to your classroom, school, and community.
