The DRONES project (Drone Research and Opportunities for Native Elementary Students) in collaboration with three partner communities (Valdez, Nulato and Nenana) is developing a science curriculum that addresses local priorities and emphasizes local expertise concerning drone use in Alaska. In these communities, we are collaborating with Indigenous experts to ensure that Indigenous priorities, values, knowledge and traditional ways of learning are embedded and honored in our curricular material and programs for Alaska’s youth.
