Alaskan Dinosaur Discovery – Renee Drummond & Jessica Chester

sealaska

Participants will learn how to support students’ ability to make observations of skulls of extant Alaskan animals. Students will then use those observations to infer how Alaskan dinosaurs may have lived 70 million years ago. This session incorporates the use of Tlingit language to describe features of skulls, and also ways various animals survive in cold regions of the planet (migration, hibernation, ways to stay active to survive winter)
