Ana McMenamin delivers renewable energy curriculum to diverse audiences and connects rural communities with the resources or training they need to improve their energy systems. She loves learning from the next generation of thinkers, striving to stoke their creative problem-solving skills. Over the past five years, she has built hands-on STEM curriculum at non-profits and government agencies, with a focus on grounding concepts in their place-based implications. She is passionate about communicating science in a way that builds relationships around envisioning a sustainable future.
Originally from the East Coast, Ana first came to Alaska to research ecological change in the Beaufort Sea during the summer of 2018. After that trip, she was determined to return to Alaska and converted a camper van for the journey. She enjoys going outside to hike, ski, bike and kayak the trails, mountains and fjords out her back door.
