Dr. Staci Block, Ed.D. (Cherokee), brings extensive experience with authoring Native American Studies curriculum development, designing equity-focused professional learning on culturally and linguistically responsive instruction, leading nationally recognized statewide digital equity innovation projects, and overseeing grant management. She directs and implements state and federal Native education grants, designs equity-focused professional learning on culturally and linguistically responsive instruction, and leads a recognized Native Ways of Knowing statewide professional learning series and micro-courses. Dr. Block is the creator, designer and author of the Native Ways of Knowing Literacy Institute, Native Ways of Knowing STEWARD lesson plan, and over 60 Native Ways of Knowing Book Guides. She is a national expert in the field of Native American literacy and culturally responsive teaching.
