Judith A. Korn is a PhD candidate and lecturer in Educational Psychology at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Her work focuses on moral development and its relationship to social and emotional learning, academic achievement, mental health, and community flourishing.
Originally from Juneau, Alaska, she has explored moral education with educators, children, and youth across continents, in places as varied as Chile, Siberia, and Spain. She brings over a decade of experience as a public high school teacher in Madison, Wisconsin, where she also served as ESL Department Chair, supporting students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Driven by concern for the mental health needs of students in the classroom, she began her doctoral studies under the guidance of Dr. Robert Enright, a pioneer in forgiveness research. Her current work explores how forgiveness education can be leveraged to support healing, hope, and harmony in families and schools by offering a pathway to overcome past and present hurt while building resilience for the future.
She holds master’s degrees in Clinical Psychology, Education, and Educational Psychology.
